1. Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).

If you register as a Producer, we also collect a username and producer/display name shown publicly on your beat listings.

2. Payment information

All payments are processed directly by PayFast. ProdBy never receives or stores your card details, only the outcome of a transaction (e.g. that a payment succeeded) is passed back to us by PayFast.

3. Content you upload

Beats, artwork, and related files uploaded by Producers are stored using Cloudflare R2. Purchased files remain available to buyers in their account library indefinitely.

4. Email communications

We send transactional emails, such as purchase confirmations and password reset links , using Resend. We do not send marketing email unless you separately opt in.

5. How we use your information

We use your information to operate your account, process transactions, deliver purchased files, enable license documents, and review beat submissions. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data retention

We retain account and transaction information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal or accounting obligations.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Note that some information may need to be retained for legal or record-keeping purposes even after a deletion request.
